Matching Mama Monday update!

Happy Monday!!

Well today I am excited to play catch-up on my Matching Mama Monday posts since my last installment back in January! Anyone who follows on Instagram or Facebook knows that most every Monday I try my best to post a matching picture of my daughter and/or son and I!  I don't remember when it dawned on me to call it this, but I love that having this special day every week gives me a point to remember to match us and even better-- an opportunity to take a picture with one or both of the kiddies!  Of course it is fun to match ANY day of the week, but for me this just works best because I know if I did not have a special day set aside, I would not do it as often as I would like!  So below I included all of the fun "matching mama monday" pictures over the last few months! I mentioned back in my last post about this, but I will say it again-- most of the time the fun of this is shopping mine and the kiddies' own closets.  There are those times I will buy two pieces because I know they will match one another, but most of the time it is just using what we already have! I love a "nostalgic" look back on anything fun, so enjoy!

Back in January we had fun matching in our faux leopard fur vests!

I bought these cuffs at a gift market with my brother's girlfriend, and I love love love the vintage/lace/burlap look!  We still need to get a picture wearing them together, but nonetheless they were so cute!

In our "bows for days" matching tops!! I remember particularly this was a crazy busy, stressful day.  Whenever I look at this picture I remember though that these little moments are the ones that matter and mean the most! I am so happy I captured this. :) It took all the stress away for the day!

We rocked our matching "bow" cardigans and it just seemed fitting to make it a "black and white" picture! ;)

This quite possibly could by my FAV! Her face cracks me up and totally is a tell-all in to her personality!

And I was SO excited that Jameson Monroe had a matching bow for her dalmation-print coat from Janie and Jack! How fun :)

...I feel like I could say each of these are a favorite for a different reason, but this one I love because it was a gift from my step-mom-- matching mommy/daugther aprons!! :) I just loved baking in the 1st time with them this day-- of course none other than cupcakes! :) You can't see from the picture, but she even added a layer of lace at the bottom to make them extra girly and fun! :) It was one of THE sweetest gifts that I will forever cherish :)

I love this because the mustard coat that fit Bella last year that we snapped a matching picture in fit her again this year-- hence it was fun to get a matching pic in our same coats a year later! It is so fun to see how much she has grown. :) ~bittersweet more like it ;)

This was fun because it was St. Patrick's Day, and we were on our Disney Cruise, so it was extra special to don our green for the occasion! I had this scarf from Target and ran across her St. Patty's Day outfit and realized the prints were almost identical! Her little purse just topped off the fun look! :)

On the cruise we also both wore our coral rompers on the balcony on one of our cruising days!

This day I was so excited because we had a triple match day with Preston too! It is harder to find boy things that match, but we each had bright yellow stripes and the kiddies had gray too.  It is hard to get a triple matching selfie hahaha, but we tried our best! :)

Matching in our black and white polka dots cardigans!! I have had this cardigan for 5 years, so it was fun to dig out!

It was an embellished bows kind of day in the spring! And this might be my favorite smile of her that I have ever captured!! I just love it. :)

This is another favorite because my sweet mom always loved her cat-eye sunnies! I was so excited to find a pair I loved myself and one for Bella as well.  The icing on the cake was finding a pair for her Bitty Baby on a trip to the American Girl store this spring.  This was too much fun, and Bella LOVED that all three of us had the matching sunnies! ;)

These adorable spearmint necklaces I originally purchased for Bella and Vivi to match in, but once I realized they could also be a mommy/daughter set, I was loving them even more! They are from "The Vintage Crown" --an Instagram boutique! She sells THE cutest clothes, accessories, etc. for little girls! If you don't already follow her, it is a must, and the owner is the sweetest on top of it!

...so a couple weeks ago we donned our matching spearmint and pearl ribbon necklaces! I can't wait for Vivi and Bella to match in these too!

...and just because I thought I would end this with my FAV matching pic of Bella and I from Winter 2013! She was not even two, and I loved these matching scarves that my step-mom made for us for Christmas! She was not in the mood to look at the camera for the picture this day, but the candid shot actually ended up being one of my favorites ever!

Well I hope you enjoyed this "Matching Mama Monday" fun! If you have never matched or thought of matching with your little ones (or older kiddies!) I hope this inspired you to take a picture, two, or many! :) As I was compiling this post, the thought occurred to me that I will be able to duplicate so many of these pictures in the same outfits when Vivi can fit into these outfits someday! I can't wait to continue this fun tradition with her too!

Later this week I will be sharing some matching sister outfits I have picked up for Bella and Vivi! It has been a dream to be able to match two little girls! I wanted to include them today but thought I would wait to share them with some exciting news on Wednesday!

Thanks for stopping by and have a happy happy Monday!! :)

...until next time!
